2017 Fierce Fitness and L-K Aerial will be supporting the Worcester Breast Haven Unit

Who We Are, What We Do

Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is a new charity which was established when the Worcestershire Breast Unit opened in February 2016 on the site of the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.  The money for the unit was raised through the fund-raising efforts of the wonderful people of Worcestershire who had the tenacity and heart to support the WBU Campaign for nearly 6 years, raising the £1.8 million that was needed.

The new unit provides a comprehensive service under one roof; state-of-the-art equipment, including new digital mammogram and ultrasound machines for sole use of the breast unit.  The facilities maximise the skills of our specialist teams while allowing for treatment in welcoming and private surroundings.  It is a more efficient service with patients receiving results much more quickly.

Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven aims to make the new Breast Unit one of the best units in the UK, providing clinical services and assistance over and above what the NHS can offer.  We raise funds to support two key areas:

1)    The invaluable services of Breast Cancer Haven, who offer complementary therapies, every Thursday on site at the unit – the first collaboration of its kind.

2)    Any clinical needs of the team over and above NHS provision to keep the unit at the forefront of patient care.

We offer further support such as Well-Being evenings, Pink Ribbon Pilates courses and we are now the go-to venue in Worcestershire for Look Good Feel Better Masterclasses.  For 2017 we hope to establish a choir and are planning yoga classes, T’ai Chi, coffee mornings and support groups.

The Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is an independent charity which relies solely on donations.  All our care is free to patients.  For more information, or if you would like to help with fundraising, please visit our website: or call 01905 733 786.
